What is the difference between an EPOS system and a normal till?

A normal till mainly records payments. A restaurant EPOS system also manages tables, orders, kitchen communication, staff access, card payments and business reports through one connected platform.

Can Eatzy manage both dine-in and takeaway orders?

Yes. Dine-in restaurants can manage tables, courses, waiter orders and split bills. Takeaway and delivery orders can also be managed through the same EPOS system.

Is online ordering included with the restaurant EPOS system?

Online ordering can be included as part of your Eatzy package. Orders from your branded website and mobile app can appear on the same EPOS screen and go directly to your kitchen.

Can waiters take orders directly at the table?

Yes. Staff can take orders using a compatible handheld device or touchscreen terminal. Orders are sent directly to the kitchen without handwritten order pads.

Does the system support table plans and reservations?

Yes. You can view available, reserved and occupied tables through an interactive floor plan. Restaurant bookings can also be connected to the same system.

Can customers split the bill?

Yes. Bills can be split equally, by item, by guest or across different payment methods.

Can the EPOS system connect to card machines?

Yes. Compatible card terminals can connect directly to the Eatzy EPOS system. The payment amount is sent from the till to the card machine automatically, helping reduce manual entry errors.

Can allergen information be added to menu items?

Yes. Allergen and dietary information can be added to products and displayed during order entry. Customer allergy notes can also appear on kitchen orders.

What reports are available?

Available reports can include daily sales, VAT, cash and card payments, covers, average spend, popular products, staff activity and multi-site performance.

How long does setup and staff training take?

Setup normally takes between 5 and 10 working days after your menu, hardware and system requirements have been confirmed. Staff training is provided before the system goes live.
